Billy Michelman


Head Chef

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Chef Billy Michelman completed his apprenticeship at Kingsmill Resort & Conference Center and became a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. He then received his Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He served as Executive Chef of The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center from 2001-2013.

In 2013, he was recruited to open a new luxury community and moved with his family here to Naples. He transitioned to Executive Chef at Trio Restaurant before becoming Executive Chef at The Clubhouse at Moorings Park. He joined our team here at Royal Wood Golf & Country Club in 2020 amid the grand reopening of our newly remodeled Clubhouse.

Chef Billy brings a unique flavor palate to the area and looks forward to a long and successful culinary career sharing the foods he loves with Royal Wood members from all over the world.


Laura Hurley


Restaurant Manager

Laura Hurley is a highly experienced hospitality professional with more than twenty-five years of progressive expertise in all aspects of the hospitality business. She has worked at Country Clubs in Maine, Rhode Island, Missouri, Minnesota as well as Florida, her last employment was with Glen Eagle Golf & Country. Laura brings all her experience here to Royal Wood.
