This beautiful, short opening hole requires an accurate tee shot. Short iron approach to severely sloping green, from back to front.
A generous landing area awards the accurate driver off the tee. A low iron approach to a well guarded green with bunkers and mounds surround this green.
After two "Nice to Meet You" holes, Royal Wood reveals its true colors. This hole requires a very accurate tee shot. The approach to the slightly elevated green, well guarded by a large bunker on the left and water on the right. Be careful of that back right pin placement.
Hole #4 is an almost driveable par 4 and sets the disciplined golfer up with a great opportunity for par. Just beware of the waste bunker to the right of the slightly undulated green.
Hole #5 requires a very straight drive as the fairway is narrow and a large fairway bunker looms to the right and another bunker sits to the left just on up.
Very picturesque short par 3; club selection is very important. Green guarded by two large bunkers and water on the right.
Tee shot over water on this dogleg left #7. Forced carry of 190 yds will put you in good shape to hit your approach into this narrow and deep green. Excellent hole; par is a good score.
Well guarded green with 3 bunkers and water surrounding this tricky par 3, make this hole more challenging than meets the eye.
Straight away driving hole; try to avoid the fairway bunker on the left. Approach to this narrow elevated green guarded by bunker to the right and steep surrounds.
The gorgeous par 4 #10, starts the back 9 off with a nice challenge from the tee. A straight drive sets up an awesome 2nd shot with a chip from the 2-tiered approach or a high iron from the fairway. Be careful of the large greenside bunker to the left and an overly long chip sets the golfer up for a tough par with steep surrounds and waste bunkers to the right.
The ideal tee shot is aimed at the right edge of the left fairway bunker. Avoid missing right, as you may not have an opening for your second shot due to the heavy tree line. This hole is reachable in two for long hitters, but be aware of the large bunker guarding short and left side of green.
This long par-3 starts a stretch of outstanding but demanding holes; club selection is very important. The green is some 50 yards deep, and is well guarded by bunkers to the right and mounding to the left. Par is always an excellent score.
This dogleg right par 4 is the longest and most difficult on the course. Aim at the bunker on the far side of fairway off the tee. This will leave you a mid to long iron shot to a green guarded by 3 bunkers and water hazard on the right.
The tee shot, aim at the left edge of the fairway bunker. On your second shot, lay up to the right side of the fairway to have the best angle into a long and narrow approach.
Off the tee avoid the bunkers on the right side. This should put you in position to hit a short to mid iron approach.
This is a very tricky hole: Don't let the yardage fool you. Club selection is very important. Back left pin placement near sand in front and water on two sides is especially tricky and fun to play.
Avoid the tall trees to the right off the tee. Your drive will leave a short to mid iron to this narrow green that also falls away to the back and right.
This is a narrow dogleg left, that requires a slight right to left ball flight to take maximum advantage of this hole. That will leave a short iron approach to a heavily undulated green.
